The Spa Hyu - 10/10 Korean Spa in Rowland Heights

Today, I'm excited to share with you about this Korean sauna near Rowland Heights, The Spa Hyu 🇰🇷
They recently went through renovations, and this month they finally reopened—just the sight of their entrance is super cool 😎

The Spa Hyu

The Spa Hyu's price list is right here. It's $35 per person for entry, and they also offer additional paid services.

After paying fees, the staff will give you three small towels and a set of clothes. (If you need more towels or if your clothes get dirty, just ask the staff!)

Locker/Shower Area

The locker room is super bright, clean, and the locker keys are touch-sensitive. It feels pretty fancy TBH 😂

Just tap the number against the card reader to open it—one beep to unlocks, two beeps to lock it 🔒.

Before heading to the shower, there's a hair drying area. And guess what?
They've got DYSON hairdryers! Like WHAAAATTTT??!!
Usually, when I'm out, I either bring my own hairdryer or I don't wash my hair 😂
This is the FIRST time that I wash my hair in a Spa🥹

The shower area is also SUPER CLEAN and has this amazing scent of hinoki wood🪵 They provide shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner, all imported from Korea with a refreshing lemongrass fragrance—total stress relief!
Plus, there are three tubs (two of them with hot water and one with cold water), and two steam rooms (one is humid and the other one is dry) with hourglasses to track time and lower the risk of dehydration—smart, right?

Lobby/Massage Area

Now, onto the lobby/massage area. Isn't it stunning?
The entire floor is heated, so you can lie down and feel cozy even the weather is cold. And if you feel it's too warm to lie on the floor, you can switch to the mats — very soft and comfortable 👍

There are several small rooms in the massage area , both for solo and couples' sessions.

Sauna

Now, onto the sauna experience! This is the hottest sauna in The Spa Hyu. Their door is pretty unique, split into upper and lower halves 😂—you gotta watch your head when entering and exiting!

Next up is the "Himalaya Salt Room," the second hottest. It's quite spacious, so you won't feel crowded 👍

Then there's the "Yellow Clay Room," the third hottest. After the renovation, it feels completely fresh—no more dingy vibes.

Moving on to the "Charcoal Forest Room," which I found quite special. It's made of charcoal and wood inside and is the least hot sauna, maintaining around 93°F/34°C. It's the only one with mats inside, incredibly comfy—I could lounge in there for ages 😂

Lastly, there's the "Ice Room," where it's a chilly 54°F/12°C🥶
It was too cold for us, so we didn't stay long 😂

Food Court

Of course, a Korean sauna isn't complete without a food court😋
The ambiance of The Spa Hyu's food area is top-notch—I'm in love 😍😍

The staff were incredibly kind! We ordered the "Bulgogi Combo," which came with a variety of side dishes (and they're refillable!) and a bowl of hot seaweed soup.

As if that wasn't enough, the staff also treated us to a glass of "Winter Melon Lemon Tea" and "Red Bean Shaved Ice"—they're seriously the best 🥹

Apart from being a tad pricey, I couldn't find any faults 😂

✅ Food is pretty good
✅ High-quality facilities
